About SoniqTools

Free audio tools, built by one person

Hey, I'm Jose R.

I'm an indie developer, a music collector, and an audiophile. I kept running into the same question: is this music file really as good as it says? I spent a lot of time checking files by hand. I looked at spectrograms, bitrates, and metadata just to find out the true quality of the music in my library.

At some point I got tired of doing this by hand, so I built the Quality Analyzer to do it for me. It worked so well for my own library that I put it online for free, so other audiophiles could use it too.

It turned out I was not alone. More and more people started to use it, so I kept building. SoniqTools grew into a full collection of free audio tools for the community: converters, trimmers, spectrogram viewers, loudness normalizers, and more.

Everything runs in your browser

This is the part I care about most: your files never leave your device. Every tool on this site does its work locally in your browser, using Web Audio and WebAssembly. Nothing is uploaded to a server. Your music stays yours.

Why is it free?

Because I built these tools for myself first, and sharing them costs me very little. If SoniqTools saves you time, the best way to say thanks is to tell another music lover about it.
