Frequently Asked Questions

An audio splitter divides a single audio file into multiple separate files. You can split by placing manual markers, dividing into equal parts, splitting at regular time intervals, or automatically detecting silent gaps between sections.
You can import FLAC, WAV, AIFF, ALAC, MP3, AAC, OGG, M4A, and OPUS files. For output, choose between WAV (16/24-bit), AIFF (16/24-bit), MP3 (128-320 kbps), or OGG (96-256 kbps). All segments are bundled into a ZIP file for easy download.
The silence detector scans the audio waveform for sections where the volume drops below a threshold you set (in dB). When a silent gap exceeds the minimum duration, a split marker is placed at the midpoint of that gap. Adjust the threshold and minimum duration to fine-tune detection for your specific audio.
There's no hard limit. However, very large files (several hundred MB or more) may use a lot of your device's memory since all processing happens in the browser. Most files under 200 MB work without issues.
No. Everything runs locally in your browser using Web Audio technology. Your audio file never leaves your device. Nothing is uploaded to any server.
Yes. Drop your album file, use silence detection to automatically find the gaps between tracks, or place manual markers. Each segment downloads as a separate file in a ZIP. It's much faster than opening Audacity, selecting regions, and exporting each one individually.
