Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 29, 2026
The short version: your audio files never leave your device. All processing happens locally in your browser, and no advertiser or analytics service ever sees your files or what is inside them. We do not have accounts. SoniqTools is funded by display advertising, so our advertising partner and its vendors do set cookies and similar identifiers on this site; where the law requires it, we ask for your consent first and you can change your mind at any time.
1. Your audio files
Every tool on SoniqTools processes your files locally in your browser, using Web Audio and WebAssembly technology. Your files are never uploaded, sent, or stored on any server. We could not look at them even if we wanted to. All the work happens on your device, and closing the tab clears everything from memory.
2. What we do collect: anonymous analytics
To understand which tools people find useful, we use two analytics services:
- Google Analytics 4 records page views, rough location (country or city level), device and browser type, and how visitors move between pages. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to recognize repeat visitors. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics is a privacy-friendly service that uses no cookies. It only records total page views.
Neither service ever sees your audio files or what is inside them.
3. Advertising
SoniqTools is free to use and is paid for by display advertising. We work with Mediavine as our advertising partner. Mediavine and the advertising vendors it works with may place cookies, read device identifiers, and collect information such as your IP address, approximate location, browser and device type, and which pages you view. This is used to choose which ads to show you, to limit how often you see the same ad, and to measure whether ads worked.
Advertising never touches your audio. Ads run in the page around the tools. They have no access to the files you open, the results a tool produces, or anything about the contents of your audio. That processing stays in your browser, exactly as described in section 1.
You can read how Mediavine handles data in the Mediavine privacy policy.
Your choices
- If you are in the EU, UK, or another region covered by GDPR-style rules: a consent banner appears before any non-essential advertising cookies are set. You can accept, reject, or choose specific purposes, and you can reopen that banner at any time to change or withdraw your consent.
- If you are in California or another US state with a privacy law: personalized advertising may count as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under those laws. You can opt out using the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link shown by the ad consent tool, and we honour Global Privacy Control signals sent by your browser.
4. Cookies
There are two sources of cookies on this site:
- Analytics cookies from Google Analytics (named
_gaand similar), used to count visits. - Advertising cookies set by Mediavine and its advertising vendors, as described in section 3. Where consent is required, these are only set after you agree.
We set no cookies of our own, and no cookie on this site records anything about your audio files.
5. Third-party resources
Like most websites, our pages load some files from other servers: fonts from Google Fonts and CDN Fonts, open source audio libraries (such as FFmpeg.wasm) from the jsDelivr CDN, and advertising code from Mediavine and its vendors. When your browser loads these files, those services see your IP address, just like on any other website that uses them.
6. What we never do
- We never upload, inspect, or store your audio files
- We never give advertisers, analytics services, or anyone else access to your audio files or their contents
- We never sell your personal data for money. Note that showing personalized ads may still count as "sharing" under some US state laws — see the opt-out in section 3
- We never ask for an account, an email address, or any personal information to use the tools
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, to object to it being processed, and to withdraw consent you previously gave. For advertising data, the fastest route is the consent tool described in section 3. For anything else, email contact@soniqtools.com and we will help.
8. Changes to this policy
If the way SoniqTools works ever changes, we will update this policy and the date at the top before those changes go live.
